BVA will not be supporting legal challenge to pilot badger culls

THE BVA has written to the Badger Trust to clarify its position on the pilot badger culls in England and make clear that it will not be supporting the trust's application for a judicial review.

The Badger Trust announced in a news release on May 20 that it had made an application for a judicial review at the High Court to challenge the legality of the decision by Owen Paterson, Secretary of State at Defra, to allow the continued culling of badgers in Gloucestershire and Somerset.
