THIS is an enjoyable and informative book. It is written by an associate professor of comparative physiology and anatomy (Christine Thomas) and a senior lecturer in clinical neuroscience (Caroline Hahn) who is an experienced clinical neurologist with particular expertise in large animal neurology. It is useful to compare it with others in the field. Currently, I feel that Miller's Anatomy of the Dog offers the best topographical neuroanatomical descriptions; DeLahunta and Glass Veterinary Neuroanatomy and Clinical Neurology integrates functional anatomy and its diseases excellently, while King's 1987 publication (Physiology and Clinical Anatomy of the Domestic Mammals, vol 1: The central nervous …
