‘Little improvement’ in pet obesity problem

MORE than three-quarters of vets believe that the pet obesity problem has got worse over the past five years, according to a recent report by the Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association (PFMA).

The report, which was published last month, follows up a 2009 PFMA report into pet obesity. A key finding from the original report was a lack of understanding among pet owners of what constituted a healthy size for their pet.
