DEFRA has reviewed and published its contingency plan for dealing with outbreaks of exotic notifiable animal disease in England.
Legislation requires that the contingency plan is reviewed annually and amended if necessary. In a foreword to the 2014 plan, George Eustice, the parliamentary undersecretary of state for farming, food and marine environment, says that Defra has worked closely with the Animal Health and Welfare Board for England and other stakeholders in reviewing the plan. …
