BVA reiterates its position on non-stun slaughter

THE BVA has reiterated its call for all animals to be stunned before slaughter following widespread coverage of its position on the issue in the media.

In a statement on March 6, the Association pointed out that it had been campaigning for many years for all animals to be stunned before slaughter. ‘Slaughter without prestunning unnecessarily compromises animal welfare,’ it said.
