3D printing brings a new dimension to implant manufacture

A COMPANY that is using 3D printing techniques to produce surgical implants for dogs says it is set to expand thanks to new investment.

Fusion Implants is a spin-out company from the University of Liverpool and has devised a way to manufacture high-performance veterinary implants from titanium using 3D printing, or ‘additive manufacturing’ as it is also known.
