Vet to be removed from the Register following multiple complaints

THE RCVS Disciplinary Committee has directed that the name of Marcus Hutber should be removed from the RCVS Register after finding him guilty of serious professional misconduct following ‘multiple complaints’ against him.

During an 11-day hearing, which ended on July 1, the committee heard eight separate, unrelated complaints against Dr Hutber, made in 2009 while he was the owner of a veterinary company with practices in Williton and Wiveliscombe in Somerset. The RCVS reports that the complaints involved a series of allegations, including lack of adequate professional care, failure to have regard to animal welfare, failure to make or maintain adequate clinical records and to provide them on request, and failure to treat clients with courtesy and respect.
