ON October 5, Flora Elizabeth Fraser Lindsay (née MacDonald), BVMS, MRCVS, of Manseburn, Burnside, Kippen, Stirling. Mrs Lindsay qualified from Glasgow in 1947.

Carol Breckenridge writes: Flora Lindsay was born in Saltcoats, April 14, 1922, just four months after her father died. Her mother trained as a primary school teacher and threw herself enthusiastically into her career. As well as devoting her working life to her young pupils, she nurtured Flora, her three brothers, a dog, a cat and two doves. Growing up in the 1920s and 30s was tough but the family was well cared for and treasured many amusing reminiscences.
