Welsh Government fast tracks legislation on fly grazing

NEW legislation in Wales to target those who deliberately allow a horse to graze on land without lawful consent from the land owner is being fast tracked through the National Assembly.

The Control of Horses (Wales) Bill was introduced by Alun Davies, the Welsh minister for natural resources and food, on October 15. It will allow all local authorities in Wales to seize, impound, return to the owner or, as a last resort, humanely euthanase, horses that have been left by their owners to fly graze.
