ON July 14, David Robert Perrett, MRCVS, of 1 Church Farm Paddock, Church Road, Bitton, Bristol. Mr Perrett qualified from London in 1944.

D. A. Lander, G. Kershaw and J. Sterry write: On qualifying, David Perrett, a farmer's son from Bitton, began practice life as an assistant with Charles Perry in Staple Hill, Bristol. After Charles Perry's retirement David went into partnership with Charles's son, Victor ‘Boy’ Perry. Together with Marguerite Fletcher, they built the present mixed practice: the Avenue Veterinary Centre Staple Hill.

David's particular interest and expertise lay in farm animal medicine and surgery, and he built an enviable reputation as a diagnostician and surgeon, assuming a locally iconic status among his clients, assistants and partners.
