WE wish to report the findings of a preliminary investigation into chlamydial involvement in cases of cattle pneumonia. Chlamydia species have long been identified as causative agents of both acute and chronic lung infections in cattle, yet the prevalence of these organisms in cases of pneumonia in UK cattle remains undefined.
