Community clinic benefits students and pets

A STUDENT-LED veterinary clinic established by the University of Nottingham is benefiting the pets of homeless and vulnerably housed people in the city as well as students themselves.

The ‘Vets in the Community’ project is managed by vet students, who have the opportunity to gain practical experience and build on their communication and organisation skills. The clinic is hosted by The Big Issue magazine at its office in the city and is staffed by student volunteers, who are supervised by suitably qualified staff.
