Epidemiology unit recognised as an FAO reference centre

THE Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics Research Unit (VEERU) at the University of Reading has been designated as a Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Reference Centre in Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics. Reference centres work with the FAO to provide advice and expertise to countries belonging to the United Nations. VEERU will provide support to the FAO to help it accomplish its mandate, which includes achieving global food security for all through raising levels of nutrition and improving agricultural productivity.
