THE RCVS Disciplinary Committee has reprimanded a Wiltshire veterinary surgeon for submitting a certificate relating to tuberculin tests he had undertaken on cattle, while knowing that he had not fully complied with the standard operating procedure (SOP) for the tests.
The RCVS reports that, at the start of the three-day hearing on February 25, John Wilson admitted that, in May 2011, while acting as an Official Veterinarian, he had not carried out tuberculin tests on cattle at a Wiltshire farm strictly in accordance with the SOP required by the AHVLA.
