A NEW campaign promoting the benefits of pets to elderly people was launched by the International Federation for Animal Health – Europe (IFAH-Europe) at the ninth annual European Pet Night, which was held in Brussels on February 20.
Hosted by MEPs Maria Irigoyen and Horst Schnellhardt at the Bibliothèque Solvay, the evening brought together a wide range of stakeholders with an interest in animal health and welfare. The aim of the event was to highlight the diverse but vital contributions made by pet animals to people's daily lives.
