As the holiday season begins in earnest, thousands of owners will be making plans to take their dogs – or perhaps cats – abroad. Vets have an important role in ensuring owners planning to travel overseas with their animals are sufficiently informed to be able to make educated decisions to protect their pets from the various diseases they may encounter, as Hany Elsheikha, Maggie Fisher and John McGarry explain.
