I WISH to pursue some of the arguments advanced by McGill and others (VR, October 6, 2012, vol 171, pp 353-354), who suggest that the current national bovine TB problem relates crucially to the introduction of artificial insemination (AI) of cattle ‘more than 50 years ago’ and that Mycobacterium bovis, badgers and cattle should coevolve together.
