Recognition for contributions to animal welfare

THE achievements of two scientists who have made fundamental contributions to the advancement of animal welfare were recognised at a recent conference of the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW). Marian Stamp Dawkins and Christine Nicol both received the UFAW Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Animal Welfare Science at the meeting, which was held in York on June 21.
