Website highlights the welfare impact of inherited problems in pets

A NEW website providing information for potential pet owners about the welfare consequences of hereditary problems in companion animals has been launched by the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (UFAW). In the process of developing the website, UFAW says it discovered that the levels and extent of the adverse welfare effects were ‘even greater than was anticipated’.
