A NEW strategy setting out how an outbreak of notifiable avian disease would be controlled in Great Britain has been published by Defra.
The strategy, which is endorsed by Defra, the Scottish Government and the Welsh Government, details the measures that would be applied to control an outbreak as well as the wider framework that is in place to help prevent and limit an incursion of notifiable avian disease. Responsibility for managing an outbreak would fall to the respective government in the region affected.
