A NEW scheme to help people buying veterinary medicines over the internet be sure that they are obtaining them from a reputable supplier was launched by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) on May 25.
The launch of the voluntary Accredited Internet Retailer Scheme was marked by the award of the VMD's ‘Accredited Internet Retailer’ logo to seven retailers responsible for a total of 10 websites selling veterinary medicines. Each logo carries a unique identification number and signifies that the retailer has met the requirements of the VMD's scheme. By clicking on the logo, customers of the website can confirm the accreditation on the VMD's internet retailer database.
