Nottingham student scoops Connect top honours

DERRICK Fall, a student at the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, has been announced as the overall winner of the 2011 MSD Animal Health Connect Bursary Award for his research project entitled ‘Detection of Mycobacterium bovis in UK sheep at slaughter using quantitative PCR’.

MSD Animal Health Connect bursaries, which are run in association with Veterinary Record and In Practice, are designed to allow students the opportunity to undertake their own research projects and to help foster links between the veterinary universities and MSD.
