Liaising with the Animal Health and Welfare Board for England

In April 2011 the Government announced the establishment of an Animal Health and Welfare Board for England (AHWBE), to bring together experts from farming, animal welfare, the veterinary profession and government, to make direct recommendations on policy affecting the health and welfare of all kept animals.

THE creation of the board was one of the main recommendations of the Responsibility and Cost Sharing Advisory Group that was chaired by Rosemary Radcliffe, and which reported in December 2010.
