THE North of Ireland Veterinary Association (NIVA) has responded to allegations made by the Ulster Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (USPCA) that veterinary surgeons are failing to report suspicions of badger baiting.
The allegations were made during the broadcast of a BBC Newsline programme on March 15, which examined the illegal activity of badger baiting and claimed that vets were failing to report dogs with injuries that could have been caused by fighting with a badger.
