An error arose in the ‘Veterinary medicines: product update’ published in the August 6 issue of Veterinary Record (VR, August 6, 2011, vol 169, pp 146–147; doi: 10.1136/vr.d4719). The new indication for Naxel 200 mg/ml suspension for injection for cattle should have read ‘Treatment of acute post-partum (puerperal) metritis in cattle, in cases where treatment with another antimicrobial has failed’ and not as stated. The error is regretted.
