Rise in scientific procedures on animals

Statistics from

JUST over 3.7 million scientific procedures on living animals were started in Great Britain in 2010, according to figures recently released by the Home Office.

The annual compilation of statistics was published on July 13 to provide information about the use of protected animals in scientific procedures last year.
