NOAH introduces new requirements for advertising antimicrobials to farmers

ADVERTISERS wishing to promote antimicrobial medicines to farmers should now describe the condition the product is aiming to treat and promote an understanding of the treatment of the disease, under new requirements in the National Office of Animal Health's (NOAH's) Code of Practice for the Promotion of Animal Medicines.

The voluntary code of practice is reviewed annually, and the changes included in the new 22nd edition came into effect on July 1. These require that:
