IAH to get funding for further redevelopment at Pirbright

THE Government is to make a further £80 million capital investment in the Institute for Animal Health (IAH) at Pirbright, meaning that the second phase of the redevelopment of its research facilities can go ahead.

The investment will be boosted by additional funding from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) – the IAH's corporate trustee – allowing the construction of a £100 million facility for the study of avian and other animal diseases and the development of new vaccines and tests.
