THE RCVS is seeking comments on a draft ‘performance protocol’, the aim of which, it says, is to ‘manage proportionately any justified concerns about the professional performance of veterinary surgeons and registered veterinary nurses (RVNs)’.
The consultation, launched on November 11, discusses a protocol developed by the RCVS's Preliminary Investigation and Advisory Committees. It is intended that the protocol will form part of the supporting guidance to the new codes of professional conduct for veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses, which are currently being developed.
