IN a further tribute to Peter David Storie-Pugh (VR, November 5, 2011, vol 169, p 500), Michael Pugh writes: Peter died peacefully at home in Salvagnac, France, on the morning of October 20, after a life of service to the veterinary professions both in Britain and in Europe. Entering retirement late, he chose to spend those years in France. Sadly, he was severely injured in a traffic accident early in that period and his last years were spent in indifferent health and considerable physical disablement, bravely born with a spirit no doubt honed by his Second World War years of incarceration in Colditz.
