Ups and downs for vulnerable breeds

THE Welsh terrier and soft coated wheaten terrier have been moved off of the Kennel Club's Vulnerable Native Breeds List, after more than 300 puppies of each breed were registered in the first nine months of this year. However, the club reports that the Irish terrier has re-entered the list after only 223 puppies were registered – a decrease of 15 per cent on the same period of 2010.
