Gary Clayton Jones writes: The recent sad death of Malcolm Willis following a long illness may be a fact that will pass by many of the veterinary profession, but he will be much more known among the dog breeding profession.
Dr Willis was not a veterinarian but a geneticist who worked for many years in Newcastle University. He worked in cattle breeding, including a spell in Cuba, as well as having a great interest in dogs.
