First all-island disease surveillance report for Ireland

THE first animal disease surveillance report to cover the whole of the island of Ireland was published last month. Compiled by the veterinary diagnostic laboratories operated by the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute in Northern Ireland and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (DAFF) in the Republic of Ireland, the report seeks to quantify the diseases present and monitor trends in their occurrence in Irish livestock.
