Making the most of the media

Sometimes, the best publicity is free and, for vets who can put in the time, local media coverage can be an excellent way to market their practice and their services or to promote the veterinary profession in general.

Why local?

It is generally accepted in the media world that local media is more highly regarded and trusted than national media. Earlier this year, a survey of 5000 people carried out on behalf of the Newspaper Society found that local media (newspapers and their websites) had the most trusted content of any medium (with TV, national newspapers and magazines lagging behind).
