Carl Padgett steps down as chairman of the BVA Animal Welfare Foundation (BVA AWF) in November after a five-year term of office. Here, he looks back on how the charity has changed in this time and ahead to the challenges he will face after his election as BVA President on September 24.
HAVING been a trustee of the BVA AWF since 1998 and its chairman since 2006, I have had the opportunity to see the charity grow and change. One thing that has remained constant is the exceptional calibre of the trustees that I have had the pleasure and good fortune to work with.
