The BVA at the FVE General Assembly

The Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) represents veterinary bodies in 38 countries including the UK. Its General Assembly was held in Palermo, Italy, between June 9 and 11.

THE BVA sends two representatives to FVE meetings: President, Harvey Locke, and past-president, Nick Blayney. They attend the meeting as part of a UK delegation, which includes representatives from the BVA's divisions and from the RCVS. These representatives make sure that the UK voice is strongly heard in Europe, so, different remits notwithstanding, the BVA and the RCVS representatives meet in advance of the General Assembly. This gives them the opportunity to go through the papers, highlight areas of interest and discuss voting intentions.
