I WAS enormously heartened to read Anna Zakharova's letter (VR, June 18, 2011, vol 168, p 649). When the new RCVS logo was announced I believe I saw only one letter that expressed disquiet about this change. I was beginning to believe that no-one else cared about the history of our profession.
With a very simple sampling technique she has revealed a depth of opinion that apparently is at almost total variance with the message obtained by the creative agency employed by the RCVS (described in part 1 of the annual RCVS Review, www.rcvs.org.uk/publications/rcvs-review-2011).
