  • Chlamydophila abortus and Campylobacter species the most common causes of ovine abortion

  • Hypoglycaemic encephalopathy diagnosed in lambs

  • Clostridial diseases causing losses in lambs

  • Monophasic Salmonella Typhimurium PT 193 causing diarrhoea in growing pigs

  • Investigations of mortality in mute swans at sites in the Midlands and north-west England
