VMD drops plans for POM-EA category

THE BVA has welcomed a decision by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) not to pursue plans for a new veterinary medicines distribution category, that of ‘prescription-only medicine, extended administration’ (POM-EA).

The POM-EA category was proposed in 2009 by the Veterinary Products Committee (VPC).
