THE first students to graduate from Nottingham veterinary school will be able to register as Members of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons this summer after the RCVS Council recommended that the degree of Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Bachelor of Veterinary Surgery (BVM BVS) from the University of Nottingham should be recognised for registration purposes.
The RCVS has been monitoring the veterinary degree course at Nottingham since 2005, when it was invited to comment on the draft curriculum. The first students at the school were admitted in October 2006.
