It is just over a year since it became a legal requirement for veterinary practice premises from which veterinary medicinal products are supplied to be registered with the RCVS. Together with the requirement to register came the introduction of inspections to ensure that practices are complying with the Veterinary Medicines Regulations. Here, John Millward, head of the Animal Medicines Inspectorate at the Veterinary Medicines Directorate, highlights some of the most common issues that have arisen in the first year of inspections, to help other practices prepare for their own inspection.
