Frequent diagnoses of lungworm in cattle


  • Outbreaks of lungworm in cattle indicate increased risk of disease in animals at pasture

  • Increase in the number of cases of Salmonella Dublin in cattle

  • Parasitic gastroenteritis affecting both ewes and lambs, with Haemonchus contortus playing a prominent role

  • Tick pyaemia and louping ill outbreaks in sheep indicate continuing tick activity

  • Further outbreak of QX strain infectious bronchitis in chickens
