A call to update the Veterinary Surgeons Act was made by the outgoing President of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, Professor Sheila Crispin, in her speech to the College's annual general meeting on July 6. During her address, Professor Crispin also discussed changing demographics in the profession and the College's regulatory role. The agm formed part of rcvs Day, held this year at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Lincoln's Inn Fields, London wc2. The event also saw the presentation of the College's honours and awards.
