BVA AWF: considering the impact of the draft Animal Welfare Bill


The BVA Animal Welfare Foundation (AWF) was established in 1984 with the purpose to ‘improve the welfare of all animals through veterinary science, education and debate’. The foundation held its annual divisional representatives’ day at the Royal Society of Medicine on May 24. Matters discussed during the meeting included the draft Animal Welfare Bill and how it might affect different areas of the profession, and the teaching of animal welfare in veterinary undergraduate education.
