A total of 127 rams from four breeds of sheep was karyotyped; 2.5 per cent had karyotype abnormalities. Two types of chromosomal variations were detected, both numerical mixopolids. From these animals, two presented a karyotype 54,XY/55,XY+mar and one 54,XY/55,XYY.
